Keep an AI agent from overspending

Agents loop. Set limits before you hand one a live key.

• Daily cap per key: when creating a key, set a maximum number of credits per day. Once reached, calls fail with credits_exhausted until the next UTC day.
• Per-call ceiling: one call can't spend more than 250 credits unless you raise it with the X-Max-Credits header (REST) or max_credits argument (MCP), up to 10,000.
• Read-only keys: can only list visitors, look up companies, and check the balance. They can't reveal contact details.
• Free retries: send an Idempotency-Key header (REST) and repeated identical requests within 30 days return the saved result at no charge. Identical MCP tool calls are also free within 30 days.
• Workspace overage limit: set under Usage so the whole workspace can't go past a limit you choose.
