How opt-outs and suppression work
Everyone who opts out is removed from every product, immediately.
- When someone opts out on our privacy request page, their email goes onto our global suppression list right away, before we finish verifying the request.
- California's deletion platform (DROP) is processed on schedule, and those people are added too.
- Every person-level result, from the tag, the API, and the MCP server, is checked against the list first. Suppressed people are never returned and you're never charged for them.
- A daily job removes anyone on the list from identities already stored in customer workspaces.
